Look what I found in our garage!! Couple days ago my dad forced us to go through boxes of old clothes, most of them from waaay back in the Philippines! It was yet just another chore, until I got these awesome finds!! Esprit high waste shorts (used to be my mom’s!!) and a cute floral dress long enough to be worn for church and work. All for FREEEEE :D

Rihanna’s props too much of a coincidence to Vancouver riots?

So as Rihanna performs her song ‘Shut Up and Drive’, her background dancers start beating this car with something like a baseball bat. They even grabbed two girls from the audience (which both looked like minors!) to help in the smashing.

I believe she’s been doing this act to other cities as well, and even before the Stanley Cup Vancouver riot had happened.

But heck it was still a huge coincidence - which mostly parents in the crowd would have noticed (and so my dad takes some credit here). I guess at least they didnt burn the car down!

My Rihanna Loud Tour Outfit

I decided to go a little more casual and comfy because I knew everybody was already going to wear fitted clubbing-type dresses. I also opted out on the heels because we got row 11 floor seats anyways!! whooo

Anyways, as for the outfit::

Bustier top by Wilfred, Aritzia 12$ (they were on sale for 20% off + 20$ off as a gift ;))

Black shorts, Mariposa 5$

Strappy sandals, Spring 22.50$ (50% off + SPC discount, but the promotion was online only)

Yes, you can add the SPC discount on already discounted items in some stores, including SpringShoes!!

My first cut- out shirt

I wanted to practice on an old shirt before pursuing on my men’s size medium Luongo shirt.

I wanted a shirt to wear with a bandeau, so I cut the sides lower. The bottom seam is also U or boat shaped (not shown).

Hey, not a bad start.

My Saturday night outfit

Nude pumps 20$ (springshoes) Lace dress 10$ Coach clutch 35$ Necklace 5$ (dynamite)

The only thing i needed help with. I remember in high school, my mom had to get my actual prof as my tutor for this class. Now it’s back to haunt me. Oh Gawd.

Oh so tempting.

Yes, I am planning to head back home late this year or maybe early next year. But this still remains a lesser priority. Sigh.

A rare natural phenomenon turns one of Austria’s most beautiful hiking trails into a 10 meter-deep lake, for half the year.

Located at the foot of the Hochschwab Mountains, in Tragoess, Styria, Green Lake is one of the most bizarre natural phenomena in the world. During the cold winter months, this place is almost completely dry, and used as a country park where hikers love to come and spend some time away from urban chaos. But as soon as temperatures rise, the snow and ice covering the mountaintops begin to melt, and the water pours down, filling the basin below with crystal-clear water.

Water levels go from one-two meters at most, to over 10 meters, in the early summer. The waters of Green Lake are highest in June, when this extraordinary place is invaded by divers, curious to see what a mountain park looks like underwater. Fish swimming over wooden benches, a grass-covered bottom, trees, roads, roads and even bridges create a surreal setting that feels like it belongs on dry ground. That’s because for half of the year, that’s exactly where it’s at.

Amazing underwater sanctuary

Shall we all make a wish?

This is a photo of an unborn baby’s hand grasping the surgeon’s finger. Read the story below.

A picture began circulating in November. It should be “The Picture of
the Year,”… or perhaps, “Picture of the Decade.” It won’t be. In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the U.S. paper which published it, you
probably would never have seen it.

The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner. The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother’s womb.

Little Samuel’s mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta.
She knew of Dr. Bruner’s remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at
Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, he performs these
special operations while the baby is still in the womb.

During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby. As Dr. Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon’s finger. Dr. Bruner was reported as saying that when his finger was grasped, it was the most emotional moment of his life, and that for an instant during the procedure he was just frozen, totally immobile.

The photograph captures this amazing event with perfect clarity. The editors titled the picture, “Hand of Hope.” The text explaining the picture begins, “The tiny hand of 21-week-old fetus Samuel Alexander Armas emerges from the mother’s uterus to grasp the finger of Dr. Joseph Bruner as if thanking the doctor for the gift of life.”

Little Samuel’s mother said they “wept for days” when they saw the picture. She said, “The photo reminds us pregnancy isn’t about disability or an illness, it’s about a little person” Samuel was born in perfect health, the operation 100 percent successful.

I had to google it, and yes it’s legit. Wow.
